Plymouth-based premium snack brand Burts Chips, will showcase a raft of flavourful NPD at Vendex 2017 – the UK’s top event for the vending industry.

Taking centre stage at the stand will be Burts’ newest flavour Smoked Crispy Bacon. With bacon featured in 87 million more breakfasts in the UK over the past year*, Burts wants to bring back this popular flavour, which uses high-quality bacon from South West manufacturer spoiltpig. The new flavour will continue to use ingredients with strong South West credentials to reflect Burts’ Devonshire heritage.

Burts’ new and improved Mature Cheddar & Spring Onion crisps will also be showcased at this year’s Vendex show. The crisps feature a classic flavour combination of rich, creamy Mature Cheddar from Artisan cheese maker Quicke’s of Devon accompanied by sweet spring onions.

Lastly, Burts is also giving exhibition visitors the opportunity to sample Sea Salt & Malt Vinegar crisps that now contain multi-award winning vinegar from the Artisan Malt Vinegar Company.  Burts supports regional producers to ensure the delicious flavours of the South West are available for everyone to try.

Alongside the NPD, show visitors will also have the opportunity to sample other, classic flavours in the Burts Chips range, including Sea Salt, Firecracker Lobster and Thai Sweet Chilli. Burts Chips was also recently awarded the Red Tractor stamp of approval – the UK’s largest food assurance scheme – for being the first licensed crisps manufacturer to use accredited British potatoes which are farmed responsibly, processed and packed in the UK.  The Red Tractor logo appears on all of Burts Chips’ 40g.

Simon Knight, Sales and Marketing Director at Burts Chips said: “Vending plays an important role in the Burts business. Alongside demand for tasty, premium ingredients, regional provenance is also an important selling point, particularly in today’s global market. Consumers are constantly looking for exciting flavours so we’d encourage vending operators to let Burts help them to differentiate their ranges to meet these changing consumer demands.”
